Henry Taylor Wyse, while living in Arbroath in the early 1900’s, designed an extensive range of furniture. The furniture was made locally to order by W. Middleton, cabinetmaker, of Arbroath. Some pieces survive within the family, and others are known to survive in private collections.
These three examples are amongst the few copies of the furniture catalogues to have survived:
Some of the furniture was photographed at the time it was made, but a few examples do not appear in any of the three catalogues. This is one of the only colour photographs to have survived, though it may actually have been a black and white photograph that was hand coloured.
